Woodhouse and Wrangthorn St Augustine SE 288355

History
Built by architect J B Fraser in 1870-71. The south east tower with 186 foot spire was completed in 1878.
Bell
A single bell hung for ringing though now supported on timbers and rigged up for chiming. This bell was formerly at St Michael and All Angels East Ardsley and must have been transferred here when the new eight at East Ardsley were installed by Llewellins and James in 1883. Since my visit telecommunications equipment has been installed.
